This is the new blog for the Pacific Amateur Radio Guild.
The Pacific Amateur Radio Guild, as its name implies, is an association of Radio Amateurs with a common interest whose principle activities are localized primarily in the Western regions of the United States and Canada.
The aims of PARGuild are:
(a) To maintain a communications network, staffed with competent and skilled CW Operators, through organized nets and inter-member contacts, which could be available in emergency situations;
(b) To promote and encourage fellowship between Pacific Coast and Western Region Amateurs;
(c) To continue the cordial social relationship enjoyed by the membership, existing over the past few decades;
(d) To encourage, by example the wider use of only power levels necessary to effect reliable communications, thereby reducing QRM in the Amateur Bands.
Guests are welcome.
PARG is a directed net and operates daily starting on or near 7034 khz (or qsy to 3545 khz if band conditions are bad on 40 meters).

Good work Dave!

Dave – I was going to start a new topic on the Blog, but I am not certain how to do that.
Can you give me a hint?
Thanks – Bill-N7MFB
Hi bill, I can also start a new page with a title of your choice.
I AM A CW OPERATOR WHO IS MOST COMFORTABLE AT ABOUT 17 WPM. WOULD THAT BE TOO SLOW FOR YOUR NET ? I CAN GO FASTER – JUST LAZY. 73 DE N6LRA
Thank you for your interest in the net, Laura. 17 wpm would be ok, and visitors are always welcome! Usually, the net control station will answer closely matching the sending speed of checkins. Sometimes, the speed gets fast, though. Looking forward to hearing you on the Pacific Amateur Radio Guild cw net.

Greetings,
My name is Steve Gregory, WA6FEJ, Extra Class. Was a Navy Radioman for 3 yrs. CW is my favorite mode of operation. Reside in a Mobile Home park and so anticipate putting up a stealth long wire, hopefully very soon. Would look forward to checking in on the 40 meter net at 0900 hrs. Hope you get this message okay and will look forward to a response. Thank you for taking time to read this message.
73,
Steve, WA6FEJ
Comments here are few and far between… I’ll toss one out – a big thanks to Dave WA7AXT for inviting me to join in the daily net back in early 2023. It’s become a daily “thing” for me and I try to plan my activities such that I can log in as often as I can. Great bunch of folks – nice to hear comments from up and down the Pacific Northwest.
Sorry guys, been off air due to various things, XYL’s back surgeries, mine also, down antennas, covid, Travel, all those things that make you say, I’ll get at it tomorrow. All I can say, I will try to get back on. PS: Am I the only one left with a one digit # 005? Hope to hear you all again. BTW, I just published a children’s story book on Amazon called Clyde and his New Friends and now working on a second book. 73, Mike n6zw
